Applications are now available to participate in this year’s 41st Annual Buckboard Days Parade
On Saturday, October 19th, 2013, the community of Rowland Heights will hold its 41st Annual Buckboard Days Parade. In a joint effort, the Rowland Heights Community Coordinating Council and the Rowland Heights Chinese Association will organize the parade. This year’s parade will include local bands, drill teams, equestrian units, community groups, floats, and antique cars. Our parade theme this year is "Let’s Make Some Music." So is the next Grand Marshal for the Buckboard Days Parade a singer, musician, composer, producer? We'll let you know soon!
The Hacienda Heights Kiwanis will be providing a pancake breakfast at 7:00 a.m. The parade will start at 9:00 a.m. heading north on Nogales from Adney Street, go east on Colima, make a left turn on Banida Street and end at Rowland Heights Park. Following the parade, the Rowland Council PTA and the Los Angeles County Department of Parks & Recreation, will host a Family Festival at Rowland Heights Park. For everyone’s enjoyment, there will be a variety of booths offering food, handmade arts and crafts, and entertainment for the kids.
