“Jump Rope for Life Marathon” at Rowland Elementary: Students at Rowland Elementary had a healthy alternative on Halloween as the school partnered with the American Heart Association through “Jump Rope for Heart.” Students learned the importance of heart health with exercise while having a great time jumping rope. Students also raised funds for the American Heart Association to fund research and educational materials. Teachers, staff and Principal Barbara Okiishi played fun music and kept students motivated to keep jumping with a marathon. Congratulations to the school – they surpassed their goal by raising more than $825!
