Course Scope: 

Each one-year course is designed for any 4th-12th-grade student who is interested in developing the ability to play guitar, vihuela, guitarron or violin. The emphasis will be on having fun by playing and singing Mariachi music for your friends, family and at public and school performances. 

This program is where students will meet with the instructor after school once a week. 

Beginning Mariachi Weekly Class Times: This class is for students with no prior musical experience.Tuesday 4:30pm – 5:30pm Guitar, Vihuela, Guitarron 

Intermediate Mariachi Weekly Class Times: This class is for students who have one or more years of playing experience. All mariachi violinists and trumpet players should be enrolled in their school’s regular day time band or string class. Thursday 3:30pm – 4:30pm Violin Thursday 4:30pm – 5:30pm Trumpet, Guitar, Vihuela, Guitarron 

Advanced Mariachi Complete Ensemble Weekly Class Time: This class is for students who feel capable of playing difficult mariachi musical arrangements. Friday 3:30pm – 5:00pm 

All classes will be held at Giano Intermediate School in the music room (P3). Please note: All mariachi violinist and trumpet players must have one or more years playing experience.
