Women’s History Month has been celebrated in the United States since 1982. During the month, contributions of women to events in history and contemporary society are highlighted. Our goal is for students to have learning activities about women throughout history so that they recognize the accomplishments women have had on the world.

We are celebrating reading on Friday, March 1. Join us by reading your favorite book! Students, don't forget to wear your pajamas that day.

RUSD News 2-15-19 Issue

Our school is closed on Monday, February 18 in observance of the Presidents Day holiday.

Rowland Elementary is participating in the Global School Day on Wednesday, February 6. This is an annual, world wide, one day event where students have unstructured play. In 2018, over 385,000 students from 58 nations participated. Unstructured play promotes cognitive development while supporting physical development as well as social and emotional development.

Our next Attendance Challenge is happening now! The date range for the challenge is January 22 to February 15. Let's make good attendance a top priority.

Fun Friday PRIDE activities are planned fro Friday Feb 1 and Feb 22 for students who have perfect attendance on Mondays and Fridays and demonstrate our PRIDE behavior expectations at school.
